Midlands York 1.3mtr Teak Bench
Probably our most popular bench, its chunky, solid, stylish and all for a great price.
We also supply this bench in two other sizes, these being 1.5mtr and 1.8mtr widths. This wide range of sizes has ensured that most customers seating requirements are catered for. As a guide the 1.3 is a good (2 to 3 seater) the 1.5 a good (3 seater) the 1.8mtr a good (3 to 4 seater).
This is a bench will give great service over many years. For the price nothing compares to the strength offered here. The main legs are a full 6cm x 6cm and the construction uses full mortice and tennon jointing.
It is probably the best value teak bench available in the UK today. It has a traditional back rest and rails. Customers who visit our show room tell us they have only seen poor quality bolted together benches for this price, it really is value above its price tag.
The quality is so good these benches can be recommended for commercial and domestic use. The York bench can best be described as a traditional design and that is what makes it perfect alround.
Without doubt the best selling features of the York Bench range are its fantastic value and range of sizes, one of these will be right for you.
Yours for Years & Years!
Quite simply all your Teak Classic bench needs is placing in its new found home and it will simply age over the years with little or no maintenance. Allowing the years to pass by will see your bench adopt a beautiful silver-grey patina to which you do nothing but admire. For those who want to remove this you can simply use a brush with soapy water.
Teak Oil,
This is available however we do not recommend it. It offers little or no protection and enhances the product cosmetically for a short period of time before preparation and re-coating is required. We appreciate some purists would like to carry out this task but we feel after 20 years we should advise customers they will achieve very little for their investment.
Jointing.
To ensure your teak bench stays with you over the years the construction is manufactured using full mortice and tennon jointing finished with Teak dowels. This ensures the integrity of the bench over the bolted together versions more commonly available.
Engraving / Lazer Etching (Available at a small extra cost)
We are able to personalise your bench with our engraving / lazer etching service. Simply attach your text or file and we will do the rest. This addition turns the bench into “your bench”, or why not a really meaningful gift for family, friends or an organisation.

Why Teak
Brief explanation of why “ Teak” , now follows, there is only one real Timber that really lasts and that is teak. The teak is actually sourced from and around Indonesia from plantations set up by the Dutch for ship building around the year 1800.
We like to inform you about the material the benches are made from, why is grade A Teak so special?
Teak being so dense and possessing an oily resinous content it can remain left exposed to the weather all year round without degrading. The composition of teak makes it highly resistant to chemical and insect damage.
Basically our teak outdoor furniture is all but maintenance free. As it ages it will turn a very pleasant silver / grey colour often referred to as a silver patina. This silvery grey patina can be removed by a good brush and soapy water. This is our preferred advice, however, please contact us and we can explain the alternative if you are looking to invest time and money in applying a liquid treatment
Please contact us for any further information on Teak or Teak garden furniture, we have 20 years experience and are certain we can help you.
