Here we are concerned with the 1.2mtr (4ft) model. It can be as much at home in your garden or within a public Place. The Seat profile is curved allowing that “Sit in Feel” rather than the sit on approach. The generous high backrest gives great comfort. One of the most commented on features is the very wide arm rests (nearly 10cm wide) that provide a useful platform for drinks and puzzle books (so we are told).

There is great attention to detail ensuring there are no sharp edges associated with this piece of furniture.

The grade of teak used is second to none. Unlike that cheap e.bay offering or here today gone tomorrow websites the fundamental material here is simply the best! After careful drying the Teak is ready to machine. The manufacturing tolerances on these benches are amazing. The beautifully machined mortice and tennon joints give the bench Its fundamental strength. The Joints are completed using teak dowel rods. You will not find any bolts or fittings on these top quality benches. In fact we recommend if you are offered a teak bench which is “bolted together” you pass it by. Why pay high prices for a product that is not made correctly. The Teak itself is highly rich in oils and resins which are impervious to water. Teak was used for making ships for hundreds of years, even the great German Battle ship Bismarck had Teak decks (which are still intact today after 70 years under the sea).
